Has been closely associated with leading companies in the photography related industry and has facilitated the promotion of photographic material and equipment. Besides being the Course Director at the Photography Society he is involved with the continued assistance to the school based photographic societies, he has been called upon to share his knowledge both in theory and practice to the photography students at many of the leading schools, universities and to photographic leagues in Colombo, Kandy, Kurunegala and Jaffna besides having served in the panel of selectors at the Nature Photographer of the Year contests on two consecutive years. Panduka de Silva is well read and journeyed overseas, having attended numerous seminars and workshops and trade events related to the industry and is continuously committed to advance professionalism in photography and to guide young photographers to progress themselves in every aspect of photography.
